Installing the iron work on this midtown home required designing railings that we would fabricate to match with the existing railings as close as possible. The originals seen on the red steps leading up to the house and our custom fabricated railings we installed after installing the concrete stairs leading up from the courtyard to the original red patio. Additionally, the gate seen to the left of the stairs leading to the yard was designed to complement the railing design.

In this picture you see a white vinyl gate in the background. My clients wanted a gate to match the height of their existing block wall and one that opened on both sides. All the prefabricated gates were 5' tall or less and not the right width for creating a french opening as seen here. So, we fabricated a custom gate from vinyl fence panels to achieve this french opening double sided gate and added the bulkier trim you see on top to achieve a fuller look next to the concrete block wall. We added a latch for a lock and a cane bolt to secure the middle.
